Mystery Reader Picks:

Those Darn SquirrelsThose Darn Squirrels by Adam Rubin.

K – 3rd

Old Man Fookwire is a grump who only likes painting pictures of birds. He hopes that by feeding the birds he will keep them in his yard instead of flying south for the winter. But squirrels keep getting into his birdfeeders! As Old Man Fookwire soon discovers, it’s hard to thwart a wily group of squirrels…but it’s even better to have squirrels on your side. Good for anyone who has ever thought that squirrels are too smart for their own good. Not good for people who think “darn” is a swear word. Also check out the sequels, Those Darn Squirrels Fly South and Those Darn Squirrels and the Cat Next Door.
