2020 Census: It’s Important to Be Counted!
Between March 12-20, Glencoe households will begin receiving official Census Bureau mail with detailed information on how to respond to the 2020 Census. You can respond online, by mail, or by phone. The library has partnered with the Glencoe-Glenview chapter of the League of Women Voters to provide assistance with census completion. A League representative will be at the library to answer your questions March 12 through April 1, 3:30-5:30 pm Mon-Fri (3:30-5:00 pm Sat-Sun).
The results of the 2020 Census will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding are allocated over the coming ten years. The census affects funding for the Village, District 35, Glencoe Park District, the State of Illinois, area hospitals, and other critical organizations.
Census Day is April 1, 2020. Each household will have the option of responding online, by mail, or by phone. Every household that hasn't responded by early April will receive reminders and eventually a paper questionnaire. For more information, visit: http://www.census2020.gov/
